Math~

• addition facts to 6
• use hundreds chart to find number that comes before, after and between
• measure a mitten using non-standard measurement- dominos, pennies, unifix cubes
• spin a number up to 10 and move correct amount of spaces on a game board 

Reading~

• read 25 sight words in isolation
• read sight words (do, you, see, like, my, the) in appropriate text
• strategy- if you come to a word that you don't know, "get your lips ready to make the first sound"
• re-telling "The Mitten" by Jan Brett 
• reading color words within appropriate text

Writing~

• assessment- writing 10 sight words
• writer's workshop (small moment stories)-  a small moment = one time, one place 

Misc. ~

• no school on Monday, January 21
• do a check-in with your kindergartner about snacks
• send a water bottle  to school with your child
